Homes made out of recycled materials

Recycling plays an important role in today’s world. It’s about saving our environment and to create a cleaner world as an heritage for our children. Fortunately in many countries there are some good initiatives for recycling.

In this post you find some really beautiful homes that are made out of different recycled materials. These constructions can encourage mankind to recycle more and more conscious of using used materials in a new way.

The home on the first photo is entirely made out of recycled materials. The other homes are normal structures in which are used some surprising materials.

This house is one of the examples how home can be built without spending much money. This house has been built from a cheap recycled materials.

Pieces of broken mirror were used as decoration for parts of a wall and self made furniture.

During the construction of the house the house was full with different recycled materials, all used for one or more purposes.

Even the roof of the house is made out of old wooden panels with different colors. The different colors and the non-straight placement creates an amazing organic looking effect.

A look at the exterior of the house. All you see is made from recycled materials, the glass of the windows, the wooden panels of the walls etc.

Some parts of the inner walls are covered with corks which offers a good isolation and a funny and great looking wall decoration.

The glass in the front door of the house is made with the bottoms of wine bottles with various colors. In Thailand there’s the spectacular Wat Pa Maha Chedi Kaew temple that is completely made with recycled bottles.

The kitchen counter top surprises also, it’s made of thin cutted twigs. The result is amazing.

Isn’t this amazing, the roof inside is covered with pieces of old picture frames with various colors again.

The fence of the balcony is made with twigs of various lenghts and shapes creating a nice organic effect. No ordinary house.

Here the tour in this amazing house ends. The creators respect nature and show us the possibilities to recycle materials and use them in a new way. Although it’s a small contribution to nature, hopefully it can have a deep impact on our consciousness to treasure our mother earth.

While I don’t particularly love this look I must say I take my hat off to the effort made in recycling and repurposing objects.

The roof is my favourite, it reminds me of a fairy tale house!

Hope you have a lovely week, Jurgen!
